Is their poop supposed to be kinda runny or falling apart?

My BGK eats all the same things as the Polys yet his poop doesn't look right. Their poop is all firm and stuff.

I just want to make sure he isn't sick, especially as he is WC.

Yes I'm new at this and totally ignorent!! :nilly: :grinno:

This is a sign of internal parasites

I thought so. For example:

After he eats Hikari sinking pellets, when they come out the other end, they resemble a left over chewed up and spit out Hikari pellet. Same colour, not firm like the polys. How do you worm these guys? Do all WC fish have this problem?

Maybe that is happening because the pellets are dry. Try feeding bloodworms or beefheart and see how it is then. If the poop still looks the same, then start medicating with one of those treat all medicines.

Ok I called over to Aquatic Solutions, Where I got my BGK, Snooky from, and talked to Barbie and she says he should be fine as she checked him over and did a parasite scrape, and it was normal and that he looked fine. And that his poop looked ok to her when she had him, and that now if his poop isn't white he is worm free.

Try Frozen bloodworms - my BGK can't get enough of them.

I have never seen white poop . and I hope I never do. but try mixing up his diet a bit to get his digestive track built up with enzymes from other types of foods. try beef heart and shrimp. But also be happy he is eating pellets LOL.

Yeah for a little wild caught guy he is sure not picky. He eats everything. Real fond of bloodworms, and silverside. Does not like eathworms though.
I have never even tried earthworms. I don't think I ever will. My fish are happy with what they get already.:D
