I currently have my BGK in a planted 10gal aquarium but once may comes along it will move into a 46gal bow front. I was wondering what suggestions people had. Also his best friend the banjo cat will move with him.

well my BGK tankmates are: aro, albino sen bichir, grey bichir, and algea eater..they all sharing their space no problem, btw my BGK is about 5 inch

my tankmates are gold severums, gibby pleco, EBJD, and clown loaches. everyone is happy! Mine (Ginsu) is around 4.5" right now.

we keep them at work with anything from tetras to angel fish. ime they do well with any docil/community type set-up. nothing thats going to pick at it.. and nothing small enough to fit into their mouthes. medium/large tetras, Platies. avoid shrimp, neons/cardinals/ect, guppies, and if you add platies or mollys expect the babys to become a snack.

46 bow I would do an Angel ( avoiding a pair for potential territorial hogging and aggression due to this) and a nice school of serpas or similar sized tetras.

I've seen/had mixed reviews on clown loaches, and spiney eels. sometimes they do well sometimes not.

Currently, I keep my BGK with Polys and Dats. I did keep this BGK in a small fish community tank for awhile. It was in with a bunch of Serpae Tetras, Black Neon Tetras, and a few Pristella Tetras and other various community fish. I did noticed after awhile that a few of the Serpae Tetras lost an eye. Don't know if the BGK was the culprit. Same thing with a FF I had...lost an eye and the BGK was in the same tank.

My BGK does fine with CLs though he will chase them out of his hiding spot. With spiny eels Ive had two differing results. When it was smaller it would fight almost continually with a fire eel over two different hiding spots. Now with a tire track eel, it shares the hiding spot with no issues. Of coarse not much of a chance it would move a 32" eel since it's only 14" itself.

i was thinking of possibly an oscar and some other dithers along with possibly some bichirs

Should be fine, just make sure there are plenty of hiding spots for the Polys and BGK.
