BGK setup plan

Thinking about getting a new BGK. At my LFS store they had one 5-6 inches for 20$. Would like to here about peoples thoughts about putting him in a 55 gallon that's well planted and has plenty of rocky hiding places. Tank mates would be 3 paradise gourami's, a severum, blue gourami, cories, and oto cats. Any ideas would be great.

it will be fine for a long time.

the technically can get 18-20 inches, but its rare to see one over 12 and they grow pretty slow.

otos may be food though

mine doesnt bother my otos, and he's plenty big enough to eat them. i keep mine well-fed. your tank setup looks fine.

it will be fine in there for several years. it's not like they have a quick growth-rate.

and as mentioned, it's rather rare to find a larger specimen.

Ive had mine for about 2 years and its maybe 9". Very slow growth rate.
