I currently have a 110 gallon. I have 4 smaller clown loaches, 7 angel fish, 7 red serpae tetras, and a 1.5 inch electric blue jack dempsey. I really like the black ghost knife fish, and have been wanting one for awhile, but am scared it won't be able to survive in my tank. I have a sand substrate, and some drift wood and clay pots. I'll add a clear peace of pvc to add some hiding places, yet still see him. While this work, or will he get attacked, or out competed for food etc?

From what you described so far sounds like a perfect set up for a BGK, it would have to be pretty small for you to have to worry about it being picked on with the stocklist.
