I am not so sure about the attitude of the board, so I will try to make this as tasteful as possible.
I've had a BGK for about a month and a half. He's always been a pretty good eater, chowing down on even FD bloodworms. He's grown from 3" to about 4" now. I've been trying to vary his diet, so now he eats FD krill, tubifex, and frozen mosquito larvae. Recently, I drove to an awesome LFS and got a load of black worms. Man, he sucks those things down.
He leaves some amazing loads all over my sand. I mean, this is incredible from such a small fish, especially since most of him is tail and fins. I have to use my turkey baster to remove these enormous turds on a daily basis. Is this something that you guys have experienced? Should I be concerned about it and reduce his feedings?
On a related note, I love this guy. I want him to be the best that he can be. Is this a usual growth rate? This board seems to have the opinion that they grow rather slowly, but others say they grow like CK's. I'm also going to make some recordings of his electrical signals. If anyone is interested, I'll post some info on that.
