I have a 6" Ornate and a 5" Polii in a 125g
There are plenty of places for them to hide including a large stump in the ctr of the tank. I added the Polii a few days ago and now the two of them are being quite aggresive towards each other over the real estate under the stump...which has always belonged to the Ornate.

Is this normal? They are going at it pretty hard. I thought that they were quite accepting of their own kind......

Remove the stump if it is not needed.
My endlis go at it around my "stump". But the one getting bit will just run off with no chase.

That is what is happening with mine...Polii fights for a bit then moves on. I really don't want to remove the stump.....I have two large piles of river rock on either end of the tank hoping that they would work it out and find their own real estate. I have just never seen Bichir's fight....always see them piling.
Hopefilly they will work it out without injury.
