Can angels and bichir be tanked together? Or is this a general no-no?
I have a 12-13 inch endli bichir that ive had for about 2 months. When she first came into the tank she tried to eat EVERYTHING. She killed the female of my mated angel pair and only got my other male in her mouth.
The other male has been moved and healed, and I still have the mated pair male in the tank with the bichir.
She hasn't gone after any of the fish since she's been on a regular feeding schedule.
Is there a chance I could move my other angel back? Or am I just asking for fish death?

Im considering super feeding my angel in the other tank lots of beefheart to "bulk" him up before I re-introduce him too.
If this is just definitely going to end in disaster I won't mess with it, but id really like to have all my fish back in my tank :/
The healed male is in a 10 gallon right now, so ill have to get rid of him if he can't come back.

I never tried keeping the two species together, so i can't tell you how it would end. I wouldn't do it that I can say. As far as trying to bulk up your angel with beef hart goes that's definatly a bad idea IMO. just feed normally and let it grow naturally in a clean environment and it will live a long healthy life.

I had a 3 inch Senegal in with a trio of angles. It hid all the time then when the angles paired they became aggressive towards anything that moved. I moved the unpaired angel and Bircher to their own tank and it never hides and swims around with the angel

If the endli has already killed angels I wouldn't. Ive done senegalensis and endli with angels in the past, trick is to keep the endli well fed and the angels large...but I feel anything less than breeder sized angel is too small to be with an endli

If the bichir can fit a fish in its mouth, said fish is going to wind up in its mouth
