Will a bichri and a Jaguar work together? They will both be very young so maybe they can be use to each other,so will it?Thanks you.

What kind of bichir?

It goes both ways...either may eat or try to eat the other if they can fit in their mouth. Other than that as the jag gets older it may nip.

will depend on the jag, and remember, its a cichlid, so no matter how docile it may seem, that could change at any time.

that said, i have a 4-5" or so jag in my 250 who does basically nothing all day long, dont bother my small bichirs, and barely pays attention to ghost shrimp unless the thing literally walks infront of its mouth

however everyday i go down, i check to see if all poly's are still alive, and dident look like a giant worm to a cichlid.

I got two manganeuse (sp) they are basically jags in with a 13" bicher and they jags are 10" and 12" and they have never given him any crap that I have seen. and he never looks roughed up.

it is worth the risk, it might work out, but I'd go with one of the largers bichir species

I have a small bircher now which is kinda laid back as far as agression goes, and ive had a jag in the past that schredded everything in the tank. both are great fish, but a jag is kinda rough
