I used to put them together in one tank until recently I notice that my plecos frequently sucking my bichirs slime coat, does this happen to your bichirs as well?now I replaced the plecos with weather loaches.
cheers

I've heard of this happening. I personally have never had a problem with my plecos. I have a herbivore(L191 royal) and carnivorus(L14 sunshine), I also used to have a gold nugget.

Feather Fin Cats are slime coat devourers! I had a Black Ghost Knife that was killed by a hungry Feather Fin. Plecos have never been a problem with my fish. But those Feather Fins are beautiful slime coat destroyers!

well those plecos I have are not always sucking the slime coat, but I knew that it happened, so I guess its not worth taking the risk cause plecos have these habits, in fact thats what they do.

Some do, some don't. It's a personal choice whether you want to risk it or not, but if you do, be aware of the possibility and watch for it.
