BICHIR BITE

Hi all, i noticed jus last night one of my bichirs had a swollen right fin ..the swelling is situated at the back part of the fin..when i looked closely there where scratches that looked like bite marks ...i suspect that there has been fighting between the bichirs,cause i have seen them tugging at each others tail and fins before but nothing like this...what is the best way to treat this? melafix? I just recently finished treating the tank with melafix cos one of it tank mates got cloud eye, which is now cured..i am gonna do a 40% water change first and put some salt in...what do you guys think?

any and all help would be appreciated...thanks

i would say a good water change, melafix and salt would be good enough for now. just keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't get infected or anything. btw how swollen is it??

i would go throwing chemiclas in your tank, but dont take it from me, she put in a fair amount of salt, and you should probaly quarantine him or it could get worse

Bad news guys..got home from the office to find it dead with my endli lying on top of it, I'm thinking it must have died due to stress from the Endli, cause he had that look of but the endli. didnt have a scratch on it...I didnt have the hard to take a pic..

We went through a lot that fish and I but in the end it had to meet it's maker...

sorry for the lost but its a good thing to know what is the cause for the death of your bichir
