Bichir concern!!

My seven inch ornate bichir ate a gravel rock today in front of my face. Is it going to die?

you can only wait and pray for it to pass all the way, sometimes they make it, others they get impacted and .... but if it eas a small one maybe you have luck

So this is common? If it gets impacted, then it dies, right? Also, my ornate will only eat bloodworms. I want it to eat the krill along with my senegal bichir and other fish. If I withold the bloodworms from my fish, will it eventually take the krill or will it eat more gravel?

thats why I switched to a sand substrate before the same thing happened to me.

man, 2 of my bichir died from the same thing.. if your fish is large enough it will survive.... good luck to you man....
