have you ever had a Bichir that couldnt seem to catch live food, ive had my 6.5 inch senegal for a couple weeks now, and I put 30 zebra danios in there with him, there about half grown so plenty small enough to fit in his mouth, I see him in there waiting for them to get close and he tries, lunges at them trying to catch them but he just cant do it. I also have some small ghost shrimp in there as well and he doesnt seem to be able to catch them. So far ive been feeding him silversides on a long prong feeding stick but he even has trouble grabbing them off the stick and if the fall to the gravel its like he has no idea where it went, he'll search the area like he smells it but he cant find it. ive tried bloodworms and he has no interest in them, now IM gonna try earthworms, thinking maybe those would be easy, they squirm around and are soft bodied. Anyway, is this normal or semi normal behavior for a bichir, Im just worried that he isnt getting enought to eat, help anyone?

I had one that had a hard time catching the mosquito fish i was feeding him. I cut the fin rays off the feeders tails so he could cath them.
