yes you can...

its very easy with bichirs too. feed live feeders in excess till he can't take anymore. But make sure to ease off feedings when he's older.

careful now

dont stuff him silly

feed him smaller portions several times aday

if you feed him one big feeding he wont eat for the rest of the day

and he wont utiize all that food into his body

and most of it will end up as **** :grinyes:

heh heh...

used to stuff mine w as much as he'll eat when small at 6".

Increases stomach capacity and growth rate. When small its safer to load him up as at tt time his body is on overdrive to get big. but when he gets bigger u have to cut down to prevent him from getting obese. :grinyes:

Much like fat people eventually it will effect their health-Anne

as for power feeding temp low 80's,several small meals thru the day and only feed it till its stomach is slightly rounded-Anne

Live foods : guppies , rosey red minnows, ghost shrimp, earthworms
frozen: bloodworms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp , krill, squid and frozen silversides
some will take pellets, lean meaty foods such as beefheart are good too
but you need to balance their diet for nutrition so vary the diet, not just one
thing. How much to feed them ? Feed them until their belly bows slightly.
and skipping a meal will not hurt them once they are
past 7-8 inches remember in the wild food is not
always available.A nice round bichir is a happy bichir
I use ghostshrimp as a part of the diet kind of like a free range treat-Anne
