bichir fin wound help!

i turned on the light in my tank when i got home and noticed theres a good size chunk taken out of the side of his front "arm" fin. it didnt get any of the fin, but rather the arm part beside it. it really doesnt seem to bother him, but i was wondering what i should do to help it heal other than keep my tank very clean. im worried about infection

bump? im thinking about adding salt. what is the rule again per gallon?

if ur concerned about infection then salt would help. Read the direction on the aquarium salt container for dose.

I'd just keep up the water changes and maybe add a divider for a week if the problem is aggression. other than that, maybe eventually add melafix

ow yeah that might get infected. i had a few fish in that situation i recently finished curng a female convict that met the wrong mbuna. I just added salt and turned up the heat abit and shes all better now.
