making a pleco chow (zuchinni) run to albertsons tomarrow and scince the bichir seems to have grown less fond of bloodworms, i want to pick him up something too.....
what should i get?

well not at the grocery store, but at your lfs i would pick up some hikari sinking carnivore pellets. i've recently (this past week) bought some for my bichir and i've never seen it go so crazy. :WHOA: very strong scent and it seems to LOVE the taste. :woot:

Your local market can be a great source of foods check the seafood section of the freezer
You can use just about any foods you find there including
mussels
shrimp
most fish filets (avoid salmon i think its to oily)
Available at the butcher counter or they should be able to order it for you
beefheart
and yes chicken gizzards
to prepare the above cut it into strips and remove any fat you can find
fish do not digest mammialian fat well-Anne

Ive fed my Endi Nightcrawlers (earthworms), Frozen Krill, an Tilapia Fillet. When I bought him the guy told me theyd been feeding him both live an dead foods, Ive only fed him dead stuff (except for the worms).

But you can get away with sinking carnivore pellets, pretty much any fish fillet (salmon an catfish are oily though), beefheart,

(I know I'm kinda reapting an earlier post) As far as the fatty foods go (especially beefheart) the inability of fish to digest the fat content can lead to a swollen liver and organ failure. :WHOA:

Thats why I said ''to prepare the above cut it into strips and remove any fat you can find
fish do not digest mammialian fat well''-Anne
