Its more of a question of "What cichlid is good for my bichir tank?" Any bichir you add will not be nearly as aggressive as any cichlid in the tank that doesnt fit into their mouth. The main question is what size is the tank? If it is around 75 gallons, I would say any upper jaw except Ornates, Weeksii, and teugelsi.
Tthe main issue is competition for food. i have to throw in some floating pellets at feeding time to distract my RTGG and GT and then throw in the sinking pellets for the bichirs. If you had several cichlids you may have issues with ANY food hitting the bottom and being available for the bichir.
The albino senegal would be fine in the 75 for life, mines a little pig and eats faster then my geophagus do, what kind of cichlids are you planning on?

You should be OK long as there's a lot of cover and such, you might havd to get a little tricky with feedings. Are the cons breeding? They are likely to start killing things if they are

Don't think yet, but it's a male and female that stuck together at the pet shop. I guess a mated pair, but they are small, and hybrids with a blood parrot.

Hmm it may not be an issue then Ii don't know much about hybrids though, if they start showing aggression to the little guy section him off so he can gain some size. My albino sen killed my african butterfly fish
