After months of waiting I got my first delhezi bichir, is it normal for them to hide when first being added also are they active in the day?

I would lean more on the crepuscular end (dawn and dusk). Peak activity for my del is definitely the evening. During the middle of the day I’ll see it but it isn’t really active.
