Bichir in a 55

How many could go in a 55 gallon tank with a 6" L021 pleco? My three favorite varieties are in this order

1: Delhezi
2: Senegal
3: Ropefish

well i think delhezis and rope fish will get too big for a 55 so if you use it as a growout you could do 3 sens 2 dels and 1 rope fish
or if you cant upgrade then you could do 3 senegals 1 del

There's a pleco in there two, but I'm trying to move him up, so technically he only counts till February.
But I think I'll go for the del and sens

i would put a few ropes in a 55 they grow super slow and are very flexible

You can add more depends on your filter. They will just piled up anyway. However you need to remove the pleco right away when you add the bichirs. They are not a good tank mates for any ganoid scale fish (Gar and bichirs/ropefish)

Unfortunately, if The pleco won't like them, not an option...

yeah, i agree with king-eL they would just pile up, just get a good filtration filter if you happen to have more bichirs on your 55G.
