BIChir not eating his food

help?he hasn't been eating for a day he ate a shrimp yesterday but that was it, he usually eats like 6 a day I can tell somethings wrong with him ,thebichir-

Bichirs can go literally months with no food. He will live. Wait until it is a month and a half before you start worrying.

I'm no expert, but I don't think he will die in one day of not eating. I don't even feed mine every single day. I would test my water, check the temp etc. Anything else wrong with him?

He could just not be hungry. depending on his size, I've heard of people only feeding them about 5 times a week. Give it some more time and see what happens if it continues to not eat anything then start worrying about it. But check water parameters, temp and if everything looks good then just wait it out

well hes also buried under the rocks wich he never does...whats wrong with him ive had him for two years

He'll be fine. For awhile I would only see my ornate eat once a week. Try something besides shrimp. Shrimp isnt a good main diet, more of a better supplement. Try some tilapia or pellets.

If he hasn't eaten in 2-3 weeks let us know otherwise he's just in a mood.
