Beblonde... where in Detroit were you from? Thanks for the reassurance that I'm not bothering you. I'll try much harder in the future... j/k!

The 29 gallon is just my starter tank... i wanted to buy that one first to make sure that getting back into aquaria wasn't just a childhood "fad." I was into it a ton as a kid, but I wanted to make sure (before I sink tons of money into a huge tank) that I was in it for real... I'm sure you understand.

Also, a local LFS has been having alot of specials on irregular tanks lately (aka: a brand-new 60+ gallon square tank that's, let's say, approximately 30x30x20... lol... I don't know how to measure tanks) that come with stand, tank, glass covers, and a light for around $230... so I'll probably end up going with something like those in the near future. Especially with a square one like that, I'd like to build up something that has (like my signature says) alot more elements to I can toy with different eco-systems.

As for max tank sizes, I'm living in a ground floor apartment (which is both good and bad for keeping fish), so getting anything more than 100 gallons right now is, most regrettably, beyond my reach. In a couple of years when I get my own house... well... then things will most certainly be different... :)

Yup sure do-Anne

So... you lived in Redford, then? Awesome. I'm in Westland, by Ford & 275.

Just an update... I installed a powerhead in my tank about a week ago, and yesterday I turned on the bubbles. This morning I woke up and looked at the tank and he was swimming amongst them... I could swear I saw him smiling... lol

BTW, I'll probably pick him up some interesting new food tonight (might play around with tadpoles, guppies, or possibly a new tankmate... I'll let ya'll know how THAT turns out... lol

Also, I'm going to try and shoot some video of Little Buddy tonight after I do the water change. I figure, I edit video for a living, so maybe I can start shooting and maybe eventually cut together a funny little video for ya'll... always looking for an excuse to edit something! :)

I am lucky to have 2 endlicheri and 1 dalhezi (cost $250 -$450 us)
who eat anything they sniff out
they prefer live food but quarantine restricts quantity...they love raw and cooked mkt shrimp (prawns) ....what is the best prepared food for them ?

A good quality pellet with an analysis as close to the below as possible
Below are the agreed upon nutritional requirements for predatory fish
PROTEIN:: 45% or more (this would be the ideal)
FAT:: 3% Min. to 6% Max.
FIBER 2% Min. to 4% Max

However for diversity the frozen seafood section of your localmarket usually offers a great
selection of food stuffs
Also earthworms are taken readily-Anne
