Bichir owners in Vancouver

Any1 living in or near the vacinity of Vancouver please tell me where you bought your bichirs! :newbie:

Hi there- Welcome to the poly forum. I live in the Seattle area. All my bichirs have come from Toyin of Rehobothaquatics.com. He's a dealer/member of the MFK forum, and he's in Texas. You can look at his website for what he has available, it costs me about $45 a box airport-to-airport from Texas to Seattle. Otherwise it's really hit or miss at LFS where you might find P.senegalus, P.ornatipinnis, or an occasional P.palmus polli. Haven't looked much in BC, so I can't help you locally, but Seattle doesn't have much either. You might try contacting a guy that goes by the name STREET CYPHER that spends alot of time on the poly forum at Aquaticpredators.com. He lives in Vancouver I think. Hope this helps!:D
 
Hey Gmachine,

As mentioned dragonfish.ca does import bichirs, but you already know about them. The options for uncommon and rare bichirs are really slim in Vancouver... and by slim i mean almost non exsistant.

Toyin is your best bet for importing big/uncommon species...
Maybe ill put together an order on BCA if theres enough interest.
