More the most part. I noticed when I drop the carnivore pellets on the sand the lump doesn't get as huge as to when I drop it in the corners where there is reddish flourite gravel. The other fish are aggressive eaters and always snatch it if I drop it in their site(sand areas). It's more than likely ingesting something. Does the lump go away after you feed it Epsom soaked food ?
Another thing is I didn't expect the bichir to be such a slow grower but I tied that to this lump that's it had for such a long time(on and off). I may have to re-home this little bichir as everything else in the tank is growing its going to get picked on. Well my dolphin cichild started chasing it away this week from the midsection of the tank.It likely is a defect from being captive bred.DMD123 haf a teugelsi has similar. Just had to control feedings and it was manageable.
Cb Senegalus are very slow growing. Known for this.Another thing is I didn't expect the bichir to be such a slow grower but I tied that to this lump that's it had for such a long time(on and off).
