Bichir price and will they get along?

I finely found someone selling a bichir that arn't senagals. They are 8" long and are Ornates. He wants 100$ for both. Is this a good deal? Also, will they get along?

Always remember price depends on how available the fish are in your area, and what you're willing to spend.

You said you 'finally' found something other than senegalus, so that tells me bichirs are hard to come by. If that's the case, and you're willing to drop $100 on a couple fish, then it sounds very worth the price. You can always try to haggle politely and if they wont drop then just give them what they're asking.

Wow...I paid 5$ for mine. It was labeled as a weather loach
And yea, ornates in my area (if I can find them) are pretty expensive.
Like 50$ (canadian) for a 4-5 incher.

I found some polypterus endlicheri and wanted them so bad, too bad they were super expensive.

I have a LFS that sells small ornates (2-4") for $80 but that place is allways high. but if you look good enough I did find a 13"er I got for $70 and I'm getting a 15"+ ornate for $40 tomorrow. hopefully.
