is it normal for a female ornate chasing my female polli nipping the tail? lol the ornate doesnt nip the little weeksiis tail but only the polli and how do i prevent this? and how fast will the fins heal?

Yes it's normal for some ornates to be very territorial and in my experience, after they establish dominance, they back down after a few days.

If you keep you water clean, the fins should heal within a week or two.

Ornates are the most aggressive bichir of all but not really that aggressive compare to other species of fish. The find will heal in no time. Bichir are hardy fish. You need to get more bichirs to prevent this terretorial situation thing. Time to hunt some more.

El and Serg are right, more bichirs the better, ornates can be nasty.
