bichir questions

Hi everyone,
I'm new to bichir. I have seen bichir for along time, but I haven't seen a bichir with a long fins (supper long). It's true a bichir or some hyb?
I saw it at one of my lfs. I asked the owner of the lfs to hold it for me. so I would like to know it's a true bichir? is bichirs have long fins?

I just pick up two wild catched ornate bichirs (supper nice). I'll post pics soon (show me how to post pics also please)
