Bichir seasonality

One of the regular sources for bichirs here mentioned that the upper jaw bichirs tend to be seasonal (the palmas complex, retropinnis and teugelsi.) i believe he's referring to juvies. Anybody notice this also? When do these bichirs tend to be more plentiful?

one guy at a lfs said in the winter he gets more but idk i dont usually go to this lfs so i couldnt really be sure
 
one of my lfs' said they get more in the summer and from what they got this summer it seems like it to me. But then another one of my lfs' said that they don't get many in the summer because of the location of where they make the transaction. It's so hot that some of the polys die in the bags. So they almost stop their poly income in the summer. I guess i just depends on where they get them where they go first etc...,
