Bichir sick, Please Help

My lapradei started losing color 2 days ago, now he has no color. His eyes have swollen and they are blood shot. He also has red stringy things hanging off of his body. At the base of his back fin he has a lump. What could it be, and how do I treat it. Please Help

Ok try not to stress him out or anything. First put some aquarium salt in the tank. Then dose the tank with some sort of bacterial medication. I would use melafix.

After you do that could you give some background info? Tank size, tank mates, filtration?

He is with a jack dempsey, a blue gourami, a senegal bichir, and a brycon dentex

After you dose him with those meds, monitor him very closely. If he makes it to tomorrow I would try and do about a 40% water change, but try your best to not stress him out. If his condition is improving then bump it down to 15%-20% per day for the next couple days. As of right now other than his physical look, has he shown any abnormal symptoms?

hes really lethargic, he used to swim around a lot, now he just sits at the bottom
