bichir size

Do different species of bichir get different sizes or do they all get about the same size? I have a senegal, and I was wondering what other bichir would look cool in a 50 gallon tank?

thank you. after reading in the stickies that's the conclusion that I came to as well. Now comes the challenge of finding someplace locally that I can get one. Not many LFS in Idaho

You should get more than two, I'd suggest keeping either a single specimen or a group of 4+

what's the reasoning behind that? is it preference or is there a reason to have a bunch? I'm planning on having cichlids in there with them as well so I don't have all the room in the world
