Hey,
New to the site, just joined.
I have, or *had*, a three inch albino Senegal bichir. When I went to check on my fish this morning, he was dead. Yesterday, he ate and swam around, and seemed as healthy as could be. There was a bunch of red coloration on his skin; especially around the fins and gills. Any idea what caused this? I'm pretty upset to have lost him. What a cool fish. I've had him since early April, and he's been keeps in a 6 gallon planted aquarium with smooth river rocks, adequate filtration, and the temperature has been about 80 degrees. I've fed him commercial fish food, earth worms, fairy shrimp, and a concoction of my own consisting of crayfish meat, earth worm, and dandylion leaf (which was actually intended for my blue ram). I can't think of anything I did wrong. Any input is appreciated!
