Well, the reason I started this thread was to see how many of you have different lighting setups. I don't mean the lights themselves, but how they are setup. For instance recently i've been leaving only one side of the tank lights on. I leave the side with the BGK's slate and the long flat rock off, and the barebottom side on. The light from one side leaves you able to see the whole tank still, but leaves one side shaded giving a "predators of the abyss" type of look, if you will.

Does anyone else do something similar?

I'll try to get some pics up in the media lounge of the way the tank looks now.

I've not done the one light on/off in a while. However, once my 55gal is set up I'm adding floating plants ontop of the water. This I hope in theory will create such a look (and if the flotsam is anything like duckweed I'll be doing alot of "pruning")

I am running a blue atinic and a red bulb over my P's I will be switching them for my other preditors in the future. The P's love it and they look really awsome under that light.

I got a couple of T5s on the tank. One Atinic and one regular. It's funny, I can't run one light along. But I have a small Power Compact that I also use to give it a darker, but lit look. I usually don't turn the lights on very often right now.
