  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would definately remove the heater from your tank

similar thing happened to an old heater of mine
I can get a new one for $10 on the web delivered next day
(australia)

Ok... another question... I've always preferred hang-on heaters... what's the argument for submersibles? Most of the ones that I'm finding with thermostats are the submersible kind... so... I'm just wondering if there are any pros/cons for them...

I have ebo jagers heater and I haven't had one fail yet. I recently tried the stealth visi-therm and it seems to work pretty good also. I also like my heaters and thermometer to be separate. I can postion the thermometer where I can see it and hide the heater so I can't see it.

Yeah... I've just got one of those floating glass thermometers that kind of bobs around the tank...

I had one of those thermometers in my ornate tank I took it out .......she was either playing with it or trying to eat it .
and the glass thermometers that get held in place with a suction cup one of my senegals
used to pull on it and let go so it hit the tank making a noise when she was hungry -Anne

Yeah... the little suction cup holder on my heater is melting... which probably isn't that great, either. Counting down the days...

my tank is always at 30 degrees and they seem alright.
just like they said, as long as the temperature dont fluctuate.

Woooo hoooooo! Check dropped! I'm going shopping!!!!!!!!!!!
