hi folks. im new here.
was wondering if anyone can help me. my palmas' body is bent to the left! he can bend it back to a straight position ocassionaly when he needs to face the other direction, but he swims with his body bent... making it very difficult for him. he actually looks like he's wriggling rather than swimming when he's doing this. i think its a physiological defect but i'm not sure. if it is, can it still be remedied? or is it some form of infection? this started about a week ago. had him for about 2 mos now.

Your fish probably broke his back. It hapenned to my 17inch endy too when i tried to transfer it to another tank and the transferring bag was to small for it. But its appetite improved instead :D Nothing to worry about just that sometimes it may be harder for the fellow to go up for air

i guess he did break his back. the senegal you see in the picture is his biggest tankmate at 11". He's about 6". I suspect he got hit by one of the other bichirs most probably during feeding time. That's okay. I still love him. :) thanks!
