Bichir

Frozen brine shrimp would be your best option, IMO.

small sinking pellets, black worms, tiny pieces of shrimp or anchovies. basically same stuff you would feed larger bichirs except in smaller sizes.

Thanks, very helpful. Next question, tankmates. I was considering a black ghost knife, congo tetras, butterfly fish. Any other ideas? What about cleaners...needed and if so, which ones, clown loaches?

nothing that has flowy fins, or is slim, when they grow they'll eat anything. idk, if a knife will get along with it...i think a butterfly would work.

what kind of bichir?

Sinking shrimp pellets.

At that size blodwroms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and beefheart.and as mentioned pellets (you may need to halve them or quarter them) keep the food size to match
bichirs size small bichir small sized foods as it grows the size of the food can increase-Anne
