u think 5 bichir for 1 FRT is worth the trade? Also...would the bichirs about 7-9'' eat my 2'' loaches?? im sure they'lll attempt but anyone tried mxiing these bichirs with other fishes besides anything LARGE like aro's..cmon now..i wana ptu them with my community!

they'll most likely eat the loaches.Bichirs will try to eat any fish they think will fit into their mouth-Anne

Loaches and bichirs? Only if the loaches are big enough not to fit their mouths.

Other suitable tankmates are large synodontis, doradids and plecos. You can try some peaceful large cichlids such as the severums with them.

ahh why not bichirs and frt? I had a ornate back in 02 with a FRT..

I experienced two FRT, the former one (up to 10" of disc) has no problem with bichirs, but, current one always tries to taste the tail of the bichirs, and makes them ugly. So, it depends.
