Can I put a bichir with a Jag?

The bichir is about 10".

I'm more worried about the Bichir than I am the Jag.

This is only a temp set up.

Do you think he would be ok with some large 8"+ fronts?

From what I've seen, Fronts are generally less aggressive towards other fish. Should be okay.

I think the bichir would do well with both. I've heard and seen jags that have lived with bichirs. However, you might want to be more worried with the jag than the bichir. Large bichors can do destruction.

I currently have a 8 incher with Africans, he does fine. Helps keep the fry population down

I was going to put him with my african community tank, but I know everyone in there would be lunch because he is much larger than all of them.

I may be getting rid of my 55 gallon Jack tank today (hopefully the guy wants them), so I will have an empty tank other than the baby RTCXTSN in there.

I am thinking the bichir would try to make lunch out of him.

I am thinking I could maybe put the RTCxTSN in with the Jag, as he likes to chill in PVC all day, so he shouldn't bother the Jag, and then the bichir can have the 55 to himself.

But I also wanted to move the Jag into the 55, so I am not really sure.

The bichir is currently kept with a lot of large fish, and the guy said he's never been a problem.
