i have a tank which is three feet long... the width is 18inches... i saw bichir fish and i like them very much.... there are albino bichirs and black bichirs... the black is said to grow 1 feet... i m not quiet sure what sort of bichir it is... i have done research about albino sengalus... they are currently 4 inches long... i wanted to kno how many of them should i get.... is two albinos and on black too much? currently i cannot get a bigger tank

I do not have any experience with them myself but I know they grow bigger than that. I think they grow to about 18 inches. IMO the tank is too small.

You would be OK with one albino. I have 4 different types of polys (bichir). My biggest will get 24" my smallest which is the albino is 12 inches. They are very active and are always searching around the tank but they are hunters and will eat fish less than 3inches in length. Go to the ancient fish section here and click on polypetrus ask whatever questions you have there.

hmm never heard of one said to be black, if its a normal senegal then itll get around 12 inches, same with the albino. i think theyd be ok in a tank of that dimension. The width is good, what is it around 40 ga ?

it's a normal sen i talked to him about it in PM
