I currently have a 46 gallon bow front tank with 2 albino Senegal bichirs and one delhezi bichir. Te albinos are Bout 5-6 inches and the delhezi is a bit smaller so they are still pretty young. I cleaned out all the other fish I had, which was 7 tiger barbs, although I did keep my 2bristle nose plecos... Anyways I want to try and go with sme cichlids.
I would like to get 5 to 10 of them if possible and want some real nice colors, I want the tank to really pop and have some variety. Can someone suggest a good setup to me please?

that tank already sounds pretty crowded with two BN's and three bichirs in it, even if they're not full size yet. I don't really think you should be looking to introduce anything new into that tank until you move you bichirs to a larger tank.

I agree. If you get a larger tank though you'd be surprised what you can keep them with. I had an albino that I kept with an oscar, GT and a convict (all of which were aggressive) and never had any problems. The bichirs are so different from cichlids or just about any other fish, that they don't know what to do with them and wind up ignoring them.

Agree with above statements, right now my Senegal is with my large albino O, a convict and my flagtail. And he will soon be with plenty of other cichlids when I move him and my other fish to their new tank.

I have never had a problem keeping him with cichlids.

Although I would suggest upgrading tank sizes before adding cichlids to your current stock.
