Bichirs and knifefish

Has anyone else had luck with keeping jeweld cichlids with sengal bichirs fire eels and bgk's? Ive kept the jewls with these guys since fry for about 3 months now and they're getting along marvelously without a single fight.. Has anyone else had similar luck?

Currently I have a delhezi with an abk. I've had them for a week and a half and no problems what so ever. The abk is around 4-6 inches and the delhezi is around 2-3 inches. The abk was shy at first but now comes out a lot more.

They are currently in a 29 gallon tank with 2 lemon tetras (they were originally there to keep the tanking running). I plan on getting a 125 within the next couple of weeks, when the delhezi gets bigger I will move them both there.

My Senegal got along great with a abk for a couple months (knife was about an inch shorter than the bichir) until I upgraded tanks and rearranged the stock. Then the bichir started going after the knife until I knew it would die if I didn't give it back. Perhaps a bgk will work better since they get so large but I have heard stories of bichirs taking off bgk tails.

I got my bichir at a bite sized and just hoped my 7 inch bgk didnt go after it! Luckily he doesnt have a taste for anything aside from ropefish so they get along just fine :)

I just got a senegal bichir from my lfs that was in a display tank with a jewel and they actually saw the jewel chiclid remove the senegals right eye completely. so personally I wouldn't recommend it... And this is a 7" senegal and the jewel was only about 2-1/2"

He's talking about knives though. I've personally kept bichirs with ABK's, BGK's, clown knives and an aba aba and haven't had any problems at all. I still have an ABK with a del and sen with no problems but about 2 weeks ago the aba aba was with them but he got to a size I felt was comfortable to go with slightly bigger guys and still nothing's happened.
