Just got a new 150 and was thinking what other monsters I can add in there with my bichirs. I'm moving my 3 sens, retro and eventually my del when he is big enough into this tank. I also plan on purchasing a polli and maybe a rope or two in the near future. I want lots of activity in this tank. I've been considering keeping it ancient and going with some gars but I'm not sure yet. I have a brown knife but I think I'll keep him in the 55 with the rainbow wolf.

What are some of you guys keeping with your polys?

I have mine in a 150 with a large tiretrack eel, Synodontis eupterus, bristlenose plecos, a goldnugget pleco, spotted silver dollars, and discus. The discus will probably be moved soon and fish form my 75 will be added (oscar, peacocks, etc.)

I have a Black Aro, 2 Uaru, 1 Flowerhorn, 1 female Red Tiger Motoguense(looking for a male:naughty:), 8 Red Hook Silver Dollars, 1 Cren. lenticulata pike cichlid, 2 Syn. Angelicus, 3 Syn. Flavitaeniatus, 1 Goldeila eques cat, 1 Ornate Pim cat, 1 Jaguar cat, 1 Oxydoras Niger "Ripsaw" cat, a few plecos (I know, I know....not recommended, but mine don't bother my polys at all!) and a female HRP convict.
I think that about covers it:D.

My 100 started out being planned as an all poly tank. I decided to change routes and go for an African oddball theme. Right now there is an ornate, albino sen, delhezi, 3 ropes, african knife, and elephant nose. I am going to be picking up some more polys hopefully this week and am planning on some ctenopoma acutirostre and my african butterfly once it gets a little size to it.

i have a peacock eel and an albino plec but hadn't decided if i was gonna add them in the new tank or not. what kind of oscar? i didn't think an oscar would get along with the bichirs once he got big.

Every fish is different. If oscars are never fed live they tend to stay less aggressive. And if they grow up with other fish they are much more likely to be fine with them later on. No matter what you put together there is always the chance that one will change at some point and then you have to rearrange things. The only way to be safe is to not mix any fish with any other fish. Unless you want to do that you have to see what works and be able to change it later if the need arises.

True. My polys have been in with my rainbow wolffish since I've had them and there has never been an issue. Sometimes I find them laying on top of him! He is getting pretty big now and I just don't wanna keep tempting fate with him in with my beloved bichirs. One day he may wake up an realize he's a wolf!
