do bichirs usually eat pellets??? my 2 new albinos tryed to eat some that i feed my fish but they were to big for them. Im going to buy sum smaller ones and try to get them to eat pellets.

both of my bichirs will eat floating cichlid pellets

I have a female P.p polli almost comes out of the water for hikari sinking carnivore pellets
and the rest wolf them down like candy -Anne

I've never had a bichir that didn't eat pellets. Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets are usually most relished, but they are spendy ($54 for 2.2 lbs). OSI makes some shrimp pellets that can be purchased for around $30 for 6 lbs. I've also fed Ken's sinking pellets with good results.

Mine really enjoy Ken's sinking earthworm sticks with plankton and spirulina. These don't break down as fast as the shrimp pellets. But, they are a little more $. They'll also eat commercial sinking catfish pellets that I get for $17 per 50lb bag at the local feed and seed center.

sorry to derail but i havent been able to find any sinking carnivore pellets/sticks where do yall find them?

yea i guess some of them do... for me, only my albino senegalus takes floating pellets but not my endies and del...

All of my bichirs eat Wardley's shrimp pellets. The break up into smaller pieces for juvie's as well. I have fed those since they were around 2.5" long.

mine like the hikari floating food sticks

if he treid to eat em but they were to big its obvise hes gonna eat smaller ones
