about 4months ago i gave my best mate my bichirs. 2x12" congicus 1x12" delhezi and 1x6" ornate. he has now decided to close his tank. i dont want them to go back to the lfs or someone else so i want them back. only problem is i now have an 8" disc motoro.
is this going to work??

I know people who keep rays and bichirs together-Anne

same, though they are both big rays and big bichirs, i think they should be all right.

I have heard of people putting them together. I would just keep and eye on them and make sure that they aren't picking on the motoro. It is still a little small compared to them, but when it is bigger it should be fine.

i would have thought a ray would be more likely to try and eat a bichir, just as long as it cant be eaten, they'll be fine

I have heard of birchirs taking rays eyes out and takeing chunks out of their disks. I have also heard of rays eating a birchir like a worm. But if they are both the same or about the same size there shouldn't be any problems.

It also can just depend on the individual fish.

I was just thinking how sweet it would be if I had cash to setup a decent sized tank with a ray a bichir and a eel perhaps, just to have a complete oddball tank, maybe even toss in a silver aro on the mix, would be highly unique!
