Bichirs are acting weird..

I think my teugelsi has cloudy eye.. I'm not sure how to identify or diagnose cloudy eye but it definitely looks like it. He used to be really active and had a great personality but then started getting skittish and does this vibrating thing with his fins sometimes. I'm not too sure what to do. I already did a 50% water change, cleaned out my filters, turned the temp up, and added salt. Please help guys thank you.

My female Ornate had cloudy eye, just did water changes and ornate eye's cleared up. If it is just one eye could be caused by the teug rubbing against something.

Water change once a month This was after adding more filtration.

Poor baby I would do water changes once a week and add mela fix for the eye that should take care of it if it's eye cloud or a scratch

I was thinking maybe even twice a week 25% or something. Will melafix kill plants?

Just keep up with water changes. If he's eating fine and the eye doesn't look really bad then I would not use meds. Try cutting back your feeding and mayb do more frequent water changes until the eye clears up
