It is sad that Petsmart carries some of these fish that get so large. The workers are not educated about the fish and probably sell them to people who put them in 10 gallon tanks.
Anyways, my new one is 125 gallons, and I am looking for more fish to add, and I may go with these guys.
they get to about 12", and can go in a MINIMUM of a 29 gallon tank imo. They can go in pairs, and they grow at around 1"+ per month until they get to 7-8", then they really slow down and add more girth. They can live for about 10-15 years.
meaty foods, such as frozen shrimp, frozen bloodworm, mysis shrimp, frozen fish fillet ect ect.
They also accept sinking carnivore pellet most of the time.
As a treat, u can give your fish live worms (earthworm, red, black or other) or feeder fish.
