Bichirs at the top

I've picked up new bichirs on tuesday and, the palmas polli and, green zaires appear to spend as much time around the surface as on the ground. I'm confused because, this isn't normal and, they have colored up and, still eat normally.
Am I over reacting. Any ideas.

thats normal behavior in a new environment.

some times my sen like to hang up at the top of my tank in the brush. and when he is done feeding he will go up there and sit for like a couple minutes as if he were waiting for a belch to come out lol. but unless you see an increased gill action in them i wouldn't be worried as mine like to explore the whole tank over and over again.

All my more active bichirs like to chill at the top too. Its normal especially for smaller bichirs. Unless they seem to be floating awkwardly you should have no problems.
