I thought this would be a fun thread to spread what strange and oddly cute things our bichirs do. What do your bichirs do that you find strange and oddly cute?

My largest Senegal, Apophis (Apep), loves to chase the cat feather dancer. I found this out while playing with the cat near the tank and watching Apep following it when it got near the tank. It is fun to watch and great exercise for my lazy sausage.
He also HATES the bubbler. He usually sits in the same spot of the tank all day, only moving to find food in the evenings. We turn on the bubbler after we do water changes for a while to move things around and he goes nuts. He will bolt to the opposite side of the tank and breach trying to escape. He is the only one out of my four that do that. The other three are uncaring.

One of my Endli loves to swim in the bubbles, idk why its does it but once it does swim in the bubbles some will join the party:)

My current albino sengalus Harley does the same thing he also likes to play with his reflection in the glass and tease the dog.

My 1st regular sengalus when he was real little would breach then float down like a leaf and gobble up any fish stupid enough to let it float by in the 2 weeks before he got his own tank he ate 50 platys and watching him made me fall for bichirs

this is a great idea! Would love to see a video :] That's funny that he hates the bubbler but loves the cat feather duster. Maybe he is secretly a cat?
My ornate would love to swim in the bubble strip. He would also look at me and flap his pec fins all the time. Not sure if that's odd, but it sure made me happy.

Well my weeksii has this habit of lying on top of other polys. Kind of like a poly bean bag chair.
Notice the poly on the bottom is different, lol

An attempt but missed

Sometimes you just need to change things up
