ok, I have a 100 gallon tank, with 3 leopard ctenopoma, 2 african brown knives and three bichirs, one 9 inch senegel, a 7 inch senegal and a 7 inch Del. fully established tank, 0 nitrites and ammonia I do about a 60% water change every week, they have lots and lots of places to hide. so heres the problem, the 7 inch senegal has begun (in the past month, they have all been together for month with no problems) harrasing the larger senegal to the point of it freaking out all day long trying to get out of the tank, no serious injuries yet, just a small bit of tail missing, and I never see the Del anymore, I assume the 7 inch senegal is harrasing it too. I dont know why this all of a sudden started, I havnt changed anything, but anytime another bichir gets close to the 7 incher he goes mad, chasing it all around trying to bite it. any help would be great, im considering moving the 7 incher but really dont want to unless I have no other choice. The other bichirs dont even try to fight back, just freak out. anyone know whats happening here????????????

also wondering if it could be just too many fish for a 100gal

It's not going after the other fish correct just the other bichirs?

yeah, thats correct, just going after the other bichirs

"I havnt changed anything"
Its a territorial/social heirarchy thing, remove satan for a few days then reintroduce it to the tank. Many fish when young are fairly tolerant with conspecifics but as they age/mature they can become territorial and agressive-Anne
