I'm wondering if this is normal or if I can do anything to help one bichir gain mass. I bought a delhezi to go with my grey/dinosaur bichir two months ago. Soon after they moved from 40 to 55 gallons. At the time they were both 3 to 4" and now the delhezi has grown an additional two to three inches and grown double if not triple the size. The gray bichir his similar to the same size he was before.

I've tried pellets and brine shrimp with bloodworms. The delhezi definitely eats more and eats faster now that it's larger. The grey bichir is still small enough where pellets are too big and they have to break them up before eating.

Any suggestions? I'm sure they will grow at different rates, I was not expecting this drastic of a change however.

Try target feeding the senegal. As long as the del steals most of the food, it will continue to grow faster.
