Do you think this would be dangerous to the fish, because it sound pretty dang cool?

I've seen it done, but I prefer to have my bichirs in the water. I'd worry about the slime coat being wiped off as it "walks".

definitely cool, but not natural for them. Even if it works, I'm sure it's not pleasant for them. I feel like it's the fish paying the price for your curiosity
