Bichirs or Pikes

A few days ago I started a thread asking if I should get Pikes or PBs for a 120gal. Most people thought Pikes. So the Pikes won until I looked at the Polypterus forum. Now I am confused again. There are many great looking and interesting Pikes and Bichirs to choose from. What should I do, Pikes or Bichirs in this size tank? Any examples of Bichirs would be appreciated if that is the choice.

Beside pikes/bichirs what other fish do you have/are you planing on getting ?

If you want to do only one specie tank I would go with pikes

Would that work for the long haul? I don't want to raise fish just to get rid of them because of aggression. Having both would be cool.

My other fish are Festaes, Texas, and a pair of cons on the way. They are in different tanks. I wouldn't put any of them in with pikes or bichirs. Well, maybe the cons. I would rather keep this tank with minimal aggression.

pikes and bichirs are a risky combo in my opinion (depending on what type of pike are you getting ).
I would to either bichirs and dats OR pikes and a cool pleco (L014 or something)

If I had both pikes and bichirs, I guess they would have to be near the same size and temperment. I'm not sure what species would work together. I really like the Ornate's colr and size.
