Hey guys just noticed something about some bichirs... one side of the two pectoral fin is significantly smaller than the other.

Anyone got such experience? Is this considered as a defect or will it grow bigger when it gets older?

Yes with pristine water conditions it should grow back.

If it s an injury yes it will grow back. However could be genetic, I have seen batches of CB Ornates and Delhezis with malformed fins even missing nubs

The one i saw isn't injury. The one nub is just significantly smaller than the other resulting in smaller spread of pectoral fin.. just wondering if such fins will grow when the poly grow bigger and older in future?
